Are you a back-end developer looking to make the next step in your career? Our client is looking for a back-end developer to join their Digital Team, to help shape and design their native web and mobile applications.

We are looking for a back-end developer who is looking to work with modern technologies and further their career. We have dedicated training time each week, so you will have the opportunity to enhance your skill set and the technologies that you use. You will have the opportunity to work on the most up-to-date tech stacks and serverless databases, and ideally you’ll be adaptable and prepared to pick up new technologies over time.

The Role:

• Designing and building the backend of backend applications and data processing pipelines
• Working with a serverless architecture to ensure that all data and security for the App is up to scratch, now and in the future
• Working to ensure APIs and services remain secure
• Upholding high engineering standards
• Using your skills and knowledge to problem solve issues with our products
• Developing relationships with the wider Digital Team
• Resolving bugs, and working with the QA team to maintain the functionality of backend infrastructure

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Experience writing scalable JavaScript (Node.js) and TypeScript
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Express
• Good communication skills. You’ll be liaising with the Technical Lead, CTO and the wider Digital team
• Experience finding shortcoming in existing applications and infrastructure
• Experience architecting code to be efficient and future proof
