Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Are you looking for a role where your skills are appreciated and valued? Then we may have the role for you!
The ideal candidate will be based in or near Salisbury and will process both skills and experience in Programming, Setting, and the Operation of CNC Milling Centres working in a range of materials. Their programming skills should include both convential and G code programming disciplines. Knowlege of HAAS and Bridgeport machines may be advantageous.
MAIN DUTIES
- Ability to read, understand engineering drawings & specifications etc.
- Programming, setting, and operating a HAAS VM-3 & Bridgeport VML 1000-22 VM1 & WM3 machining Centres
- Create, load, save and edit CNC programs using Hurco Winmax Software
- Setting up tooling and work piece datum's
- Continually assess tool condition and maintain as necessary.
- Self-inspect own work in accordance with ISO 9001-2015 Quality System
- Ensure all tasks undertaken are performed in accordance with company requirements (best practice)
- To maintain good housekeeping standards
- To ensure safe working practices are maintained; adhering to company HSE Health and Safety requirements and requirements as per Employee Handbook.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Time Served Machinist
- Ability to establish & develop relationships and be a good team player
- Good understanding of machining techniques
- Minimum experience 3 Years
- Ability to use CMM inspection equipment
- Skill in planning methods of machining
- Competent in the set-up and operation of CNC Milling machines
- Capable of programming both on and off machine controls
- Able to work using own initiative
- Well organised and dependable
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and to self-inspect
- Experience in programming complex parts
- 4th Axis programming experience
